What does one EUR/USD pip cost?
With 100,000 units per lot, a 0.0001 price difference costs $10 for one lot in a USD account. A 0.1-lot position costs $1 for the same gap, before commission.
The cash cost changes with position size. A tighter advertised minimum spread is not the same as a lower average trading cost.
Calculation
Spread cost = (ask − bid) × units per lot × lots × conversion. Commission = fee per side × 2 × lots. Swap = nightly rate × lots × chargeable nights. Total = (spread + commission + swap) × completed trades. Excludes slippage, market movement and other account charges.
